How is the engine installed?
The Somfy engine is integrated into the pipe around which the safety shade is wound. The engine is powered either by electricity or solar power. It is controlled by a wall-mounted control unit, remote control or automatic systems (timer, sun or temperature sensor).

Identification of an obstruction
If there is an obstruction, the roller shutter stops automatically. -

Motor stops automatically when the strips are frozen. -
Automatic settings

Protection against break-in
When lowered, the roller shutter protect against attempts to open it from the outside. The Somfy engine and other components prevent the roller shutter from being lifted.
